The Elder Scrolls Online Gold Edition release date is scheduled this coming September 9, 2016 which will be available for both PC and consoles. In an effort to bring new players to the game, The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Edition will give users "immediate access" to the game's entire story, including four DLC packs: Imperial City, Orsinium, Thieves Guild, and Dark Brotherhood. Additionally, Gold Edition players will receive an in-game Palomino horse mount.

The developer also revealed The Elder Scrolls Online will receive three pieces of new DLC beyond what was discussed during Bethesda's E3 conference. Speaking to IGN, game director Matt Firor said The Elder Scrolls Online will get an Argonian Dungeon Pack, as well as a barber shop for character customization, in August.

The Gold Edition does not appear to include The Elder Scrolls Online's Shadows of the Hist DLC pack, which is the new DLC slated for an August release. Multiple smaller DLC packs will continue to be released.
