Orsinium is the second and the largest DLC so far for The Elder Scrolls Online. Adventurers on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One can now travel to Wrothgar by visiting their Alliance’s starting city where a letter from Forge-Mother Alga awaits them. Players will need to simply travel to Daggerfall, Davon’s Watch, or Vulkhel Guard to begin the quest that will lead to the Merchant’s Gate in Wrothgar.
The new DLC sends players to the Orc homeland in order to aid and rebuild the capital. All Alliances will work together to help King Kurog restore the area to its former glory. The aspect of the three warring Alliances working together in Wrothgar also extends to the Grouping Tool. When using the Grouping Tool to complete a dungeon, all three Alliances can recruit each other. Queues should speed up with this enabled, and since any race can be in any of the Alliances anyway, the grouping should not affect the lore.
According to the Orsinium site, King Kurog wants to rebuild Orsinium while attempting to unite the numerous Orcs of Wrothgar together. The solo leaderboard crawl known as The Maelstrom Arena, two new public dungeons, six new world bosses, and much more are a part of the Orsinium DLC. Players of nearly any level can travel to Wrothgar to support King Kurog, and gathering nodes in the zone will give materials according to the player’s profession level. Moreover, shield dyeing, battle leveling updates, class alterations, and much more are included in the base game patch now available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
New items are also now available in The Elder Scrolls Online Crown Store alongside the Orsinium DLC. These new offerings are themed around the new DLC and its northern Wrothgar influences. A new Cave Bear Mount, a Cave Bear Pet, and a bundle of three costumes in the Winterborn Reach Costume Pack are all purchasable now. The mount costs 1,800 Crowns, the pet costs 700 Crowns, and the Winterborn Reach Costume Pack is also 700 Crowns. Players that want to purchase the DLC, the mount, and the pet can buy all them in a Collector’s Edition of the Orsinium DLC for 5,000 Crowns. The Collector’s Edition also comes with five Crown Experience Scrolls.
Of course, the update will also add new items and gear for players to find, too. The new Akaviri style is purchasable for Alliance Points, and the Mercenary Motif can be obtained through the Undaunted faction. In Wrothgar, four new Provisioner recipes are available, 18 new item sets as well as six new costumes are attainable, and the Ancient Orc crafting style are also goals for crafters and adventures alike.
The Elder Scrolls Online players that play Orsinium while subscribed will lose access to the DLC if they unsubscribe; however, any items that they have obtained from it will continue to be accessible. Buying Orsinium for 3,000 Crowns, or $25, will grant permanent access to all of its content without having to be subscribed to The Elder Scrolls Online.
As the Inquisitr reported, Orsinium will be the last piece of DLC for The Elder Scrolls Online for the year. With two major DLCs currently available, many more are planned for 2016. A Thieves Guild DLC and a Dark Brotherhood DLC are expected to release within the first two quarters of the year with other content, like the Clockwork City, yet to be dated.
