The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) Update 51 is bringing a fresh challenge for players who prefer adventuring alone. Alongside the introduction of new solo dungeons, two exclusive monster sets are arriving to give solo players more build options. The Mylenne Moon-Caller and Tarcyr sets offer very different approaches, with one focusing on offensive pressure and sustain while the other provides defensive utility and crowd control.
For players preparing a new solo build, these monster sets are definitely worth watching. Let's take a closer look at what each one offers and how they could fit into your gameplay.
1 items: Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage
2 items: Dealing direct damage with a Class or Werewolf ability deals 1093 Bleed Damage to enemies within 8 meters of the target. You restore 10% of the damage done as stamina. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds, scales off the higher of your Weapon or Spell Damage, and deals up to 100% more damage to monsters based on how fully your Stamina is. While in Werewolf form you also gain 25 Fury and 1 Blood Hunger.
The Mylenne Moon-Caller set is clearly designed around offensive gameplay. It provides 129 Weapon and Spell Damage, making it attractive to players who want to increase their overall damage output while tackling solo content.
Its main effect activates when you deal direct damage with a class ability or a werewolf attack. Once triggered, the set provides a combination of offensive and sustain-related benefits. It can deal Bleed damage in an 8-meter area, restore sustain based on damage dealt, and provide additional damage against monsters depending on your current Stamina.
Werewolf players have even more reason to consider this set. While in Werewolf form, the effect can provide Fury and Blood Hunger, adding another layer of synergy for werewolf-focused builds.
One of the most interesting aspects of Mylenne Moon-Caller is that it has become more appealing following adjustments made during testing. The activation requirement was changed so that players need to deal direct damage with a class ability or werewolf attack rather than triggering the effect through any type of damage.
The set also received an increase to its base damage, while its monster damage bonus can scale according to your Stamina level. These changes make the set feel more intentional and less passive, particularly in combat situations where players are actively using their abilities.
For solo adventurers, that combination of damage, sustain, and resource-based scaling could make Mylenne Moon-Caller a very useful choice. You don't necessarily need to play a Werewolf to consider it, either. Depending on the final performance, several different solo DPS builds may be able to take advantage of its effects.
Monster Sets have only Head and Shoulders pieces that provide unique bonuses. The head is available as a drop from the final boss in Solo Moon Hunter Keep Dungeon. You can get the Shoulders from Urgarlag Chief-Bane with Undaunted Keys. You can wear both pieces to get the full set bonus or combine one piece with another piece from another Monster Set.
1 items: Adds 1026 Maximum Health
2 items: Taking direct damage while Battle Spirit is inactive causes your attacker to cower in Fear for 2 seconds. Enemies who are not feared by this effect are instead afflicted with Major Cowardice for 3 seconds, reducing Weapon and Spell Damage by 430. Either effect can occur once every 0.5 seconds.
While Mylenne Moon-Caller focuses on offense, Tarcyr takes a completely different approach. This monster set is built around survivability and crowd control, making it particularly interesting for players who prefer a safer and more defensive playstyle.
The set provides 1,206 Maximum Health, but its primary attraction comes from its defensive effect. When you take direct damage while Battle Spirit is inactive, attackers can be forced to cower in fear. Enemies that cannot be affected by the fear effect instead receive Major Cowardice.
The effect can occur frequently, making Tarcyr an intriguing option for players who want to control enemy pressure without constantly activating additional abilities.
Tarcyr may not look as immediately exciting as Mylenne Moon-Caller, but that doesn't mean it should be ignored. Against groups of weaker enemies, its crowd-control potential could provide valuable breathing room. Instead of constantly dealing with incoming attacks, players may be able to use the set's effects to disrupt enemies and make difficult encounters more manageable.
Monster Sets have only Head and Shoulders pieces that provide unique bonuses. The head is available as a drop from the final boss in Solo March of Sacrifices Dungeon. You can get the Shoulders from Urgarlag Chief-Bane with Undaunted Keys. You can wear both pieces to get the full set bonus or combine one piece with another piece from another Monster Set.
It could also have potential for defensive solo builds that want to balance survivability with reasonable damage. However, the real value of Tarcyr will depend heavily on testing and finding the right combination of gear, skills, and passives.
With new solo dungeons and exclusive monster sets arriving, Update 51 gives solo players another reason to revisit their gear setups. Whether you prefer aggressive DPS or a more defensive approach, both Mylenne Moon-Caller and Tarcyr offer something different from traditional monster-set choices
