A brand-new zone, storyline, and base-game features are arriving this June with Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 1 and Update 46 in The Elder Scrolls Online. Here are five things you can do right now in-game to get ready for the dark adventures ahead！

1. Complete ESO’s Main Questline

Since Seasons of the Worm Cult is a direct sequel to the original ESO main story, it’s the perfect time to finish the base-game questline. Join the Five Companions, battle Molag Bal, and save Nirn from Coldharbour. Not only will this give you the background needed for the new story, but completing quests during May’s Golden Pursuits event can also help you earn rewards—including a free house!

2. Prepare for Subclassing

Update 46 introduces a powerful new feature: Subclassing. This system lets you combine Class skill lines to customize your build like never before. To be ready, make sure you have a level 50 character and bank some extra Skill Points. Holding onto XP scrolls and respec tokens can also give you a head start once the update launches.

3. Meet Future Allies

Many of the allies you'll fight alongside in Seasons of the Worm Cult can already be found across Tamriel. Prince Azah appears in the Alik’r Desert storyline, while Skordo the Knife and Gabrielle Benele feature in Rivenspire and Glenumbra. Complete their questlines now to get familiar with the characters before they rejoin the fight in Solstice.

4. Battle the Cult Early

You don’t have to wait for the new chapter to face the Worm Cult. Their influence appears throughout the base game. Join the Fighters Guild for a dedicated storyline against Molag Bal’s forces. You can also uncover cult activity in Nimalten (The Rift), the Bone Orchard (Grahtwood), and Aba-Loria (Coldharbour). Keep an eye out for Dark Anchors—they’re crawling with cultists.

5. Play the Free Prologue Quest

Jump straight into the action with the Seasons of the Worm Cult prologue quest, A Guild in Crisis. Join Prince Azah as you investigate the Fighters Guild’s missing Guildmaster. This free quest is available now in the Crown Store and leads directly into the events of Part 1.
