The Elder Scrolls Online has officially kicked off Season One, bringing a wealth of new content that builds on the seasonal system introduced with Update 50. Players can dive into the new Tamriel Tome reward track, experience an all-new Thieves Guild questline, take part in Dynamic Encounters, complete Favor activities, and earn a wide range of exclusive seasonal rewards.

Although the Sheogorath storyline has been announced as part of Season One, it is scheduled to launch later this month rather than being available on day one. Until then, there are plenty of new features and activities to explore, making now the perfect time to jump in and start progressing through the season.

Season 1 has officially arrived in The Elder Scrolls Online, bringing players a fresh wave of content to explore. Whether you're returning after a break or logging in on day one, this update introduces new progression systems, story content, repeatable activities, and collectible rewards that make it one of the most exciting updates of the year.

1. Progress Through Tome Challenges

Seasonal progression revolves around completing Tamriel Tome Challenges. Weekly and seasonal objectives reward Tome Points that unlock additional pages of the reward track.

Players who have saved Tome Point Caches from previous seasons can use them immediately to accelerate progress or save them until later in the season to complete remaining rewards. Since Tome Caches carry over between seasons, they offer flexibility for long-term progression planning.

2. Gold Coast Bazaar Receives Seasonal Refresh

Season 1 also updates the Gold Coast Bazaar, replacing the previous collection of limited-time ESO items with a new seasonal inventory.

Many of these items can be purchased using Trade Bars earned from the Tamriel Tome, giving players another reason to complete challenges and maximize their seasonal rewards.

3. New Thieves Guild Questline Begins

The centerpiece of Season 1 is a brand-new Thieves Guild storyline set in Glenumbra. Players will join Quen and her companions as they establish a new branch of the Thieves Guild. Completing the storyline unlocks a variety of exclusive rewards, including outfit styles, costumes, and a new Mythic item that grows stronger as players continue progressing.

The questline represents the first major narrative expansion released this year and serves as the foundation for several additional seasonal activities.

4. Daily Heists and Activities Expand Endgame Progression

Season 1 introduces new Thieves Guild dailies and heists, available through the new Thieves Den in Glenumbra. These repeatable activities reward players with exclusive event items while also granting Nowhere Keys, a new currency that will be used to access the upcoming Nowhere Vault, currently scheduled to arrive alongside Update 51.

Running these activities consistently throughout the season allows players to prepare for future content while collecting additional seasonal rewards.

5. Favors Add New Daily Objectives

Another new feature arriving with Season 1 is Favors, a series of character-focused daily quests. Completing these missions rewards players with various items while gradually unlocking decorative furnishings themed around the featured NPCs. Players can begin these activities by interacting with Free Runners Post Boards located throughout Tamriel.

Although designed as a smaller side activity, Favors provide another source of daily progression for players looking to complete every piece of seasonal content.

6. Dynamic Encounters Bring New Open-World Events

Season 1 also debuts Dynamic Encounters, large-scale world events that unfold across multiple stages rather than taking place in a single location. Three encounters are available at launch:

Farm of Flame in Auridon
Vampire Hunt
Bill Sells Delivery in Stonefalls

Unlike traditional world events, Dynamic Encounters may require players to travel across entire zones while completing objectives before time expires. These encounters reward several exclusive collectibles, including the Alessian Rebel Outfit Style, the Blood Scion Skill Style, and multiple new Werewolf skill styles earned by collecting special fragments throughout the event.
