Tamriel And The Temple Of The Lizard People In ESO

In the game of Elder Scrolls Online (A.K.A: ESO), the latest big story DLC pack: Murkmire is eventually shining a light on one of the series' greatest enigmas - the Argonians. By traveling to the lizard-folk's racial homeland, the story of ESO is completely headed in a new direction from past events in Morrowind, Clockwork City, and Summerset. But what new danger will be encountered? Let's take a look!

Though the Murkmire had been officially online for some time, I have just started my journey into this amazing place. It looks like the swampy jungle Mayan-influenced region of the Argonians when you first come to this. The ancestral homeland of the Hist-praisers, it's really a nice change of pace from the admitted ashen lands of Morrowind, or the beautiful forests of Summerset. Obviously, Zenimax values shaking up our vistas as much as I appreciate the alternation. You know, I have never been one to fall in love with the “This One” people of Nirn, but I'll have to confess that soon I will be one of the fans of Murkmire.

The general atmosphere of Murkmire is quite clear; this is an Indiana Jones-like the tale of you and some adventurers setting off to recover valuable artifacts only to find that there are far greater evils at play. It's completely nostalgic and I am here for it. The background of this story setting is quite different than what we have had before. And I am thrilled to see ZOS keeps trying to make things different with narrating.

Personally, I have got some ways to see if this one really pays off, and I am excited to try the 4 man arena, Blackrose Prison, as well. I may even have to dust off my PVP shoes and then get into the Cyrodiil game again as destructible bridges and the like are being added with the main game update. In this game, in total, there are 12 new items sets with their own perks and effects, tons of new housing styles and items. Without a doubt, it's a loaded DLC.

If there's any one criticism I can make of ZOS' work on Elder Scrolls Online, which has been my favorite MMORPG for over several years now, it seems that they have become a little hesitant to try something new since they last added the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves’ Guild systems to the game in those respective DLCs. Morrowind, in fact, was a fantastic chapter expansion, with a new class. And Summerset was some of the best storytelling in an MMO till now. But since the new class, the addition of PVP Battlegrounds in Morrowind, it feels like Elder Scrolls Online has been doing little to introduce new toys to play with in the grand Tamriel theme park. So for players, this decision seems not too wise.

I am very curious to see what the next big DLC will be in QUARTER1 of 2019. And for me, I sincerely do not hope it's another dungeon set (even though I really do love those). If this DLC is based on the story, I wish it contains some significant game-wide features in order to keep people entertained. According to the feedback of the players, I can say that ESO is a great game with arguably more questing and dungeon content than an MMO out there. But I want to see more in the new DLC, for instance, I want to see additional ancillary systems added, new skill lines, new weapons, farming, animal husbandry, more methods to gain ESO gold and some other amazing updated system that we never dreamed of.

Though I say something like that, it does not mean that the ESO is out of time. They churn out more interesting content than just about anyone. But for the update cycle can feel a little unsurprising, and that is the team of ESO should be aware of!

Now, let's put criticism aside. So far, Murkmire feels like another excellent DLC. I have got plenty of time to play through the story to come, as well as countless new pieces of gear to unlock. I’ll even brave Cyrodiil and its many new changes. Though now, I come to Murkmire seems like a little late. But it really attracts me and I am sure I will find more secrets in here.
